The Community Action network is made up of public and nonprofit Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), known as Community Action Agencies, serving all 254 counties in Texas. With over 60 years of experience and informed Community Assessments, these agencies have deep roots in Texas communities, uniquely positioned to address the complex challenges of poverty confronting working families, veterans, and seniors. Governed by a diverse board of agency leaders, we work together to advance opportunity and lasting change in every corner of Texas.
